Recently, Shannon Doherty, Rose McGowan, and Holly Marie Combs joined together in an interview at ‘90s Con, hosted by Breanne L. Heldman. All three Charmed stars, along with Brian Krause, Drew Fuller, and Dorian Gregory, answered fans’ questions during the Q&A portion of the interview. The actors were asked what they thought about the remake of the iconic series, and the answer was spot-on, to say the least.
Charmed Star Defend the Series’ Remake
Doherty got asked about the new cast of Charmed, and a member of the public started booing heavily upon hearing the question. Doherty didn’t waste a single second and responded immediately, saying it’s “not cool” to boo people who strive to supply hundreds of jobs. But she didn’t stop there.
Doherty believes the Charm has to be fitted for a new generation, so it’s more than normal to have a new version of the much-loved TV series. The star celebrated how many of the ’90s kids bonded over Charmed, saying the new show has done the same thing for the younger generation. She expressed her dissatisfaction about not being asked to feature in the new TV series but was happy it got created and changed the lives of many youngsters. The star finished her comment by saying that the show she was in will always hold a spirit of its own.
The Iconic ‘90s Con
90s Con is an annual event that started last year and saw the reunion of the Beverly Hills, 90210 cast. Many stars from the series appeared in their panel, where they answered questions about the 1990s teen drama. Doherty, who starred in the TV series, couldn’t make it to the Beverly Hills, 90210 panel, and she only appeared on the Charmed one.
‘90s Con took place this March in Connecticut. Apart from the Charmed and the Beverly Hills, 90210 cast, fans got to see favorite actors from Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Hocus Pocus, and more.
